Fire Fly was a Sci-Fi by Jes Wheddon the author of Buffy. The networks cancelled Fire Fly in the middle of the season and the fans had a fit. They organized online, ended up having conventions, and eventually pursuaded Hollywood to make the feature film "Serenity." Jes Wheddon produced it. It was a lot of work but it got done. It took a big organized effort.

If they were to make a movie, what do you you think Ella, Thelma, and Leon ultimately want? I think the end would be bittersweet and it would be an emotional story.

They did it for "Fire Fly" Got a lot of support, had conventions, made demands, producer finally made the movie. My Fire Fly DVD special features has interviews that tells how they did it. I never saw firefly...I heard good things about it though. I still don't get how shows like Hex and Coupling (and Arrested Development) can be cancelled without a movie...while shows like The Simpsons can have movies AND still be on the air.

don't worry, Dave. It's more fun guessing words. I did know what you meant.
Alli spelt 'cancelled' with two Ls.... is she really English?

They do it for the money not for the quality of the programming and there are folks that keep their trash cans in their dens or prefer out houses for living rooms. Maybe mental maggots excite some people.
