Doctor Who really is awesome..yay Terry Nation for inventing the daleks! Woot woot! ^_^ Rebeccas world(his first and only kids book) was my fave book when I was 8. LOL I must seem like I know all this sci fi stuff now..really I dont.. I love battlestar gallactica but I have no fracking time to watch anymore, and I heard its like lost(another show ive never seen, but my sister is obsessed over) where if you miss a few episodes, you have no idea what the frack is going on. hmm..an idea. If we replace f.u.c.k with frack in the boards we can stop using . or * Our lady from Germany will not be able to find that word in the dictionary.

maybe i should start watching that show since i've heard so many good things about it. The "Series" 1 and 2 DVD box sets are available here in the States. Series 3 has already started in the UK (they are going to be up to the 5th episode this Saturday) and the SciFi Channel will begin airing them here in July (they officially announced it a couple of days ago). You can rent the Series 1 DVD's through NetFlix but the Series2 discs got pulled because of a manufacturing defect that included scenes of something like The Hills Have Eyes or some other horror film that was a mix up at the DVD mastering studio or something. You can also find them through less legal means...and of course, BBC America Channel will start airing them (Series 2) sometime in the future (they aired Series 1 awhile ago). PBS stations are starting to air Series 1, continuing their old tradition of showing the program from way back when. For reference, the original Doctor Who - which this show is a continuation of - ran from 1963 to 1989. Fox and the BBC tried to relaunch it in 1996, but the ratings in the States failed, so it wasn't until 2005 when the BBC (and the Canadian CBC) brought the show back from the dead. If you want to learn about the show's background, look it up on Wikipedia. There are active discussions of the show on Gallifreyone(.com) and of course on Ain't It Cool News(.com). Other places of interest: www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwhowww.scifi.com/doctorwhoHope that helps!

it's like x-men... people from all over the world who have special abilities...really cool and great actors/actresses The producers of Heroes also seem to be big Doctor Who fans.... They first cast Christopher Eccleston (who portrayed The (9th) Doctor in Series 1) as "Claude" the invisible man, and then they cast Eric Roberts - who was the villain The Master in the 1996 Doctor Who tv movie - as a continuing villain. Ben Edlund, a consulting producer for Supernatural, creator of The Tick, and formerly a writer for Joss Whedon on Angel and Firefly, is also a big Doctor Who fan.
